Until very recently I lived in the Azores. Since I moved there I noticed there was little concern about the impacts of the increasing tourism on the endemic-rich native forests. For the last 15 years, I have been developing monitoring methodologies for improving conservation of the natural areas, and I found that I could contribute to answer this question before the negative impacts settle in. I designed the project and got it funded as a PhD scholarship, which I am finishing now.
What I will do after the PhD is a mystery that I will only get into once I finish it. I think that this was the last step of my full time dedication to contributing towards nature conservation, and now I will be looking for a new focus.

The covid19 test I did next door. Well&Work is so well figured out that I felt impelled to go in, and when Ben did the tour I discovered a solution to my problem. Because if there are people who can work from home and be productive, I realised I am not one of those.
I recognized an intelligent effort on so many levels about this place that makes it inspiring to work.

I have the fixed desk membership. I work hours on end on multiple documents and being able to have at least one large monitor stationed makes all the difference.

This friendliness vibe, the coffee quality (it shouldnโt matter so much, but it does. (Have you seen a series called Comedians in cars getting coffee, from Seinfeld?), the working conditions, the aesthetics, the flexibility, the nuances of comfort that contribute to positive mood. For a workplace to work for me it has to feel a bit personal, and that happens here.
